Girls' Brigade will be 125 years old in 2018 and GB International held a song competition to celebrate that.
We entered this competition because it was a once only opportunity and we have so many very talented musicians and creative girls
Our GB Team comprised members from Second Saintfield Presbyterian & Parish Girls' Brigade and from First Presbyterian Saintfield Girls' Brigade.
Our song lyrics were written by our team which was Anna George, Anna Grindle, Charis Gibson, Christine Flanagan, Claire Laidlaw, Rose Fennell, Victoria Clarke and Rosemary Fennell.
The Music score was written by Anna Grindle and Claire Laidlaw. Both talented musicians, Anna writes music and works in youth participation projects and Claire plays piano and organ at 2nd Saintfield Presbyterian Church.
Our song is called "Rooted in Love" and it resulted from us reading and thinking about the messages in John 15 verses 16 &17.
We focused on the command to "Love each Other" and the GB International theme of "Fruitful and Overflowing".

On Sunday 1st Oct 2107 our recording was played to and sung by Second Saintfield Presbyterian Church at the annual GB and BB Enrollment Service.
