SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM

Baptism of the Infant Children of believing parents

Infant baptism is celebrated at Morning Service by arrangement with the Minister. The sacrament is primarily a sign of God’s love for his children and an acknowledgement of entry into the church family. The Sacrament takes place before the whole congregation as they are God’s family who undertake to provide Christian teaching and training and nurture to the child and the family. Promises are taken by the parents, who have the primary responsibility to make Christ real to their children. Together parents and congregation seek to grow the children in the love of Jesus Christ so that they will confirm their faith in adulthood.

Adult Baptism

Those who have not been baptized as children are baptized when they make profession of their faith and take vows for themselves.
